All our trees came from the best chestnut breeding programs in the country, and everything we sell comes out of our own orchard — seed nuts and seedlings from mother trees we chose for nut quality, flavor, and vigor.

It means we can tell you exactly where your tree came from. Not a variety name on a tag, but the offspring of a particular tree we’ve watched come through Connecticut winters and produce well, season after season, here in southern New England.

We’re growing chestnuts at production scale and proving varieties as we go — in Connecticut River Valley soil, through New England winters, on a short season. The ones we collect seed from have earned their place, and the stock we sell is the same stock we plant ourselves. If you’re starting an orchard — or just putting a few trees in the ground — this is a good place to begin.
